Apologies – I do not seem to have been on top of my “Blog” as perhaps I should. Summer has evaporated as usual and we are well into Autumn already so I have been spending my time creating and collecting new pieces for the collection which include some great value topaz pendants ! Incidentally I just love some of the creations coming out of London Fashion Week – we have some great talent in the UK fashion industry. I have finished our round of trade shows and delighted that By Elise designer jewellery is now appearing at selected outlets in the UK, Europe and Africa. We have just started the run of retail exhibitions and events which continue through to Christmas whilst Peter and our youngest daughter Sarah will be off to the British Ambassador’s residence in Vienna for a small trade exhibition in October

“It was lovely to see you all at Sudeley Castle and Spirit of Summer.  Both shows were a great success  mainly due to meeting up with my loyal customers who have been so supportive.  I also met many new customers which was fantastic.  This year I added some wonderful silk tops and dresses from my boutique which appeared to have been a great success.   I absolutely loved the Royal Wedding and have designed some earrings with the Duchess of Cambridge in mind (to you and me – Kate!) to go with her engagement ring. I have just decided to be at the Polo Gold Cup on the 17^th July at Cowdrey Park so look forward to seeing you there.

Many apologies but v remiss in not updating this earlier.
Determined to bring the jewellery to a wider audience we took a stand at the
major European jewellery Fair in Milan for 5 days at the end of January -
husband (Peter) and daughter (Katie aka fluent in Italian) volunteered to
drive the jewellery and equipment down whilst I caught the plane. It would
appear their journey consisted of regular stops around Beaune and assorted
Italian Castillo’s for reasons best known only to them !!
We had a great, albeit exhausting, time and hopefully should result is us
getting a greater presence in Europe – I hasten to add that our other
daughter Sarah and I will doing any future gastronomic adventures.
You will see from the site a number of new pearl necklaces are now available
together with some great pendants – they make a great Valentines Day
present!!!!!!!

Great trip to Hong Kong and if anyone is interested I have some single strings (as yet unmade up and unknotted ) of fantastic baroque pearls – the best size and colour which will make some delightful handmade pearl jewellery. Thank you to everyone for their support at Hullavington and Sandown and your extremely positive comments on the new range of Signature handmade jewellery. Its also great news that the media interest in the pearl wedding jewellery has been very rewarding. The last show of the year is at Ripley on the 10-12th December though I will be in London on a frequent basis between now and Christmas if anyone would like to see anything in particular

November has to be the busiest month when it comes to pearls! Currently on a whirlwind tour of the Far East sourcing strands of pearls and gemstones. We set started out at Spirit of Christmas in Olympia and are now at the Mary Howard Fair at Hullavington. But it doesn’t stop there! If you want to do your Christmas shopping please visit us at Mary Howard at Sandown (23rd and 24th November) or come and see us in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales at Ripley Castle (10th – 12th December). We have a new style of stand this year with a range of traditional and bespoke pearl necklaces, new pearl earrings with magical sparkle and a selection of amazing scarves and clothing to compliment our handmade jewellery….

Helen and Elise will donate 15% of their sales on these two days to the Candlelighters Charity, the Yorkshire based charity raising money for families where children have cancer.

Peter and Katie set off to Vienna this week to launch our new wholesale range in Europe. They were showcasing “The Collection” – the bespoke range of pearl necklaces, pearl bracelets and pearl earrings – at the private residence of the British Ambassador to Austria. They have returned both thinking they are royalty!!

However, the trip was a huge success and we are in the process of finalizing agreements to supply a select number of small boutiques in and around Vienna as well as a niche gift shop in the Alps…our first mountain range!
