Just back from the most glorious week in Croatia compliments of John and Annoushka Ayton who had invited us to join them on their most delightful gullet with crew and “cookie” which sailed from Dubrovnik to Split through the most unspoilt coastline imaginable. Annoushka and John were the original founders of Links of London until they formed the most stylish jewellery house in the UK Annoushka two years ago – quite how the conversation avoided designer jewellery was largely due to their four great kids Marina, Ollie, Chloe and Oscar – I admit to being partisan but Godmothers have certain privileges !!! We had a fantastic time – many thanks to you all
We announced the launch of my wholesale range yesterday “The Collection by Elise” and am busy at Burghley this week so will write further next week with the launch of “Try It On”

Thanks for all your support for By Elise at the Gold Cup finals and at the Game Fair where we had a great few days and as you can see they even used my pearl chokers, pearl earrings and pearl necklaces for the fashion show.

We have a number of exciting new developments being launched over the next few weeks. “Try It On By Elise” is a major new development on how we portray pearl necklaces on the site. This will be followed by the launch of “The Collection By Elise” a wholesale range for selected stockists around the UK and overseas which will be exhibited at the trade show Top Drawer in London and at the British Embassy in Vienna where we have been invited to give an exhibition to buyers from over fourteen countries – very exciting!

We will launch our range of bridal jewellery and wedding jewellery in my range “Bridal By Elise” and this will be followed by a glamorous new piece of pearl jewellery “Unity By Elise” which will be launched in time for Christmas

Had a great evening last Friday night with a fantastic private dinner at San Pietro followed by a private screening of the new Sex in the City film and chauffeured in the new Mercedes convertible. What a great night and contrary to the critics opinion the film is just 100% girls fun…….!

Next week we have teamed up with “Girl Meets Dress” where I have matched my jewellery to four of their designer dresses including the one shown in the photo worn by Sarah Jessica Parker – our newsletter will be out in the middle of the week so please sign you and your friends up to our mailing list

“Well that was some month and I have been remiss in not keeping my blog up-to-date. At Christmas, our two daughters, Katie and Sarah, gave us the air tickets and accommodation for 10 days in Tokyo and Kyoto where Katie is living. Neither Peter or I had ever visited Japan so it can be best described as the most expensive cultural rollercoaster we have ever been on – but quite fantastic as even their pet dogs wear pearl  designer jewellery ! No trip to Tokyo is complete without a visit to the famous Mikimoto Department Store, the man who first farmed freshwater pearls. Needless to say there were four floors of of the most exquisite handmade pearl jewellery with every conceivable pearl necklace in every colour – I am now convinced that my handmade pearl jewellery is excellent value for money!

Within twenty four hours we had unpacked and re packed and went to Olympia for the Spirit of Summer Fair and a huge thank you to all of you who made it all so worthwhile – as always it was great fun to see you all again and meet many new converts to my handmade designer jewellery

You will see we have decided to exhibit at  the CLA Game Fair at Ragley Hall, Alcester Warwickshire between the 23rd and 25th July 2010 and will bring as much of the new summer collection of handmade pearl jewellery with me as I can – I hope you can join me in the Country Living marquee

Three evening barbeques before winter returned but hopefully it can only get warmer……….!

On Monday I visited Alison at “The Village Shop, Cowley Manor Hotel” in Gloucestershire which is ranked by Vogue magazine as one of the best boutiques in the UK and I can certainly see why – you must visit if you are in the area !!! Anyway we are delighted that they approached us to be a stockist and they are now supporting a selection of my pearl earrings, pearl necklaces and some silver hearts.

At last we have managed to get the new pendant range up and running on the site. Hopefully you will enjoy this range as they are designed to partner my pearl necklaces and designer made jewellery. The new range of pearl necklaces are currently being strung and will appear on the site at the end of next week. We have added a section in the Blog on Press Releases which shows some of the new range of pearl pendants on offer. Don’t forget the Spirit of Summer Fair at Olympia from the 13th to the 16th May where will have a full range of handmade pearl designer jewellery including pearl necklaces, pearl chokers, pearl bracelets and pearl earrings together with handbags and other stylish gifts.

Arrived back in the UK on Saturday and still feeling the effects of too much food and wine! Hong Kong was as awesome as ever and the five day International Jewellery Fair at the harbour front complex was breathtaking – 3000 stands of some of the finest handmade designer jewellery in the world. The freshwater pearls were sublime but after ten acres of every shape size and colour even they began to lose their attraction. I am delighted with what we have bought for the year and I anticipate a whole new range of pearl jewellery ( including pearl bracelets, pearl chokers and pearl earrings ) will begin to appear over the next few weeks. I am especially pleased with some quite exceptional pearl pendants – so keep close to the website. We have also identified some new ranges which will also come online over the next few months. An added bonus in a rather hectic schedule was seeing my sister Tayma, her husband Martin, my two nieces Emma and Annabelle, Annabelles husband Kieran and Ben and Emma’s new baby Archie – who is just adorable. Daughter Katie even came down from Tokyo. No wonder we are exhausted.

Hope you have seen we have put an end of range sale on the site for pearl earrings. We have also revised the site and added some really great pearl jewellery including a pearl choker and other designer pearl jewellery . I have upgraded the Couture Jewellery and included some pearl wedding jewellery for good measure. I will shortly be adding many new items from our trip to the Far East including pearl bracelets, pearl earrings and some stunning pearl necklaces. Hi all

I’m sitting in my studio writing this, the first quiet period since I came back from holiday I’m pleased to say! We have done a lot of thinking as to what form my designer jewellery will take this year particularly as I am off to Hong Kong, China and Japan shortly to source new freshwater pearls for my collection. The new range of pearl necklaces, pearl bracelets and pearl earrings must reflect the exciting new fashion trends for the summer. I will also be making a number of changes to the designer jewellery and how the website portrays designer pearls to most effect

As for Valentines Day I can see many of you have already made your selection from the handmade pearl jewellery but you still have more than enough time to give him the web address or better still call me in the shop 01937 835847……………!
