Hong Kong 10

November 26th, 2010 / View in own page?

Great trip to Hong Kong and if anyone is interested I have some single strings (as yet unmade up and unknotted ) of fantastic baroque pearls – the best size and colour which will make some delightful handmade pearl jewellery. Thank you to everyone for their support at Hullavington and Sandown and your extremely positive comments on the new range of Signature handmade jewellery. Its also great news that the media interest in the pearl wedding jewellery has been very rewarding. The last show of the year is at Ripley on the 10-12th December though I will be in London on a frequent basis between now and Christmas if anyone would like to see anything in particular
Best wishes

Japan

“Well that was some month and I have been remiss in not keeping my blog up-to-date. At Christmas, our two daughters, Katie and Sarah, gave us the air tickets and accommodation for 10 days in Tokyo and Kyoto where Katie is living. Neither Peter or I had ever visited Japan so it can be best described as the most expensive cultural rollercoaster we have ever been on – but quite fantastic as even their pet dogs wear pearl  designer jewellery ! No trip to Tokyo is complete without a visit to the famous Mikimoto Department Store, the man who first farmed freshwater pearls. Needless to say there were four floors of of the most exquisite handmade pearl jewellery with every conceivable pearl necklace in every colour – I am now convinced that my handmade pearl jewellery is excellent value for money!

Within twenty four hours we had unpacked and re packed and went to Olympia for the Spirit of Summer Fair and a huge thank you to all of you who made it all so worthwhile – as always it was great fun to see you all again and meet many new converts to my handmade designer jewellery

You will see we have decided to exhibit at  the CLA Game Fair at Ragley Hall, Alcester Warwickshire between the 23rd and 25th July 2010 and will bring as much of the new summer collection of handmade pearl jewellery with me as I can – I hope you can join me in the Country Living marquee

Spring around the corner

February 1st, 2010 / View in own page?

Celebrated my mothers birthday on 19th January with a lovely dinner in Harrogate. Having recently had an operation she was on amazing form and wore a double strand of my deep grey keishi pearls receiving some fabulous comments. I think all of my family would, given the chance, ransack my studio and I wouldn’t see the handmade pearl jewellery again – Katie and Sarah especially!

I’ve just been on the most incredible holiday to Egypt, re-charged my batteries and managed to find some incredible pendants to incorporate into my necklaces and am now sat in the studio making some new pearl necklaces aimed towards spring/summer – bringing some flashes of fabulous colour to the incredible pearls I’ve found. Even though the weather is still dreary, spring is only round the corner – and bright jewellery definitely encourages a sunny disposition!

By Elise Spirit of Christmas

Thank you all so much for coming to see the stand over the 5 hectic days of the Spirit of Christmas fair. I was delighted to see your reaction to the new couture jewellery, it adds a new dimension to the range of pearl designer jewellery that I adore and looked so fantastic on those of you who tried it. I have to say, it always makes me smile to see you trying on a handmade pearl necklace that you realise belongs on your neck and then hunting out the bracelet to match! I’ll never sell you something I don’t think looks right on you, but I believe my whole range of pearl jewellery offers something for everyone. Having packed up on Sunday night, I headed off to the Mary Howard Fair in Hullavington – where it is currently going very well! I’m here until tomorrow, so if you’re in the area please come and say hello! Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter – just look up “ByElise”.
